1-Day: Hunting for Treasure Under the Bridge
Portland, OR • 1 PM to 7 PM • Sunday, May 19, 2013

Come join me at Cathedral Park under the beautiful Saint Johns Bridge. We will begin this photographic journey beneath Portland’s most beautiful bridge at a point where Lewis and Clark are believed to have camped during their journey. This one-day workshop will focus on thoughtfully using available light and careful composition to capture the best images possible from whatever camera you use. Come with camera in hand, prepared to learn by doing as we photograph people, landscapes, and details. Digital SLRs and tripods are not required, but are highly recommended. Don’t be surprised if I convince you that you need these tools to take your craft to the next level. However, even if your preferred tool is a smart-phone, bring it ready to use.

Adventures: Everest Base Camp Trek(Details coming soon)
South Base Camp, Nepal • Fall 2013 Dates Pending

Hudson Henry Photography is proud to join forces with Red Lantern Journeys to offer this epic photographic journey to the heart of the Himalayas.  Join Hudson along with veteran Himalayan climber and Everest summiteer Don Beavon.  Learn advanced digital photographic techniques while exploring the landscape, culture, history, and legends of this vibrant, fascinating region at the top of the earth.

This classic is one of the most interesting and scenic treks in the world.  As we trek through the highest mountains on earth we will stay in Sherpa villages.  Along the way Hudson will conduct lessons in composition, portraiture, landscapes, low light, artificial light, advanced digital capture techniques, and image file management.  Each day will begin and end with optional guided dawn and sunset photo sessions and there will be ample opportunity to have your images reviewed and critiqued in nightly sessions.  All the while Don Beavon will share tales of Himalayan climbing lore and share his personal experience with climbing to the summit of Mt. Everest.

This is a very special trek that we are very excited about.  We have worked to keep costs as low as possible while simultaneously keeping the number of trekkers small to ensure lots of individual attention and a high quality workshop experience.
